(Note: Belle Z. Griffin and John W. Barrett had two daughters, Lela and Gladys.  He married a second time to (2) Martha Revielle.  John W. Barrett was a drunk and beat both of his wives. His first wife hit him with a piece of firewood.  One of Belle's daughters married a Smith.  John W. Barrett killed his father over some kind of property argument.  John W. Barrett had a son by his second wife named Thomas Barrett.  He lived on the northeast side of Belton).

Note: Pearl (Griffin) Digby sayid that Slyvanus Griffin and his wife Mary (Murray) Griffin ("Polly") are also buried here, but the markers no longer exist.  When Kenneth & Doris Herrington, along with grandsons, cleared the cemetery of a huge accumulation of cactus in the early 2000s, they noticed several sunken areas and thought that maybe the family cemetery had been used as the community cemetery as well.
